Board of Studies (BoS)
SFIMAR-PGDM Board of Studies (BOS) is to initiate, design and deliberate on the various courses of the Institute’s AICTE-approved Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Programme (PGDM), and ensure that the quality of resources, pedagogy, evaluation and review process is in line with the Institute’s Vision and Mission, and industry needs.
The Programme Head in discussion with the subject expert highlights the gap observed in the previous curriculum delivery from the course feedback and plans for better attainment in the following year. The subjects are then allocated to different faculty members. The faculty then prepares the course outline based on outcome-based learning. They incorporate the pedagogy and the specific additional reference material. This is discussed with the experts of BOS to get them validated and incorporate their feedback to enrich the course delivery process. The finalised curriculum is sent to the Academic Advisory Council for approval.
Following aspects are taken into consideration in the BOS meeting
1. Revision of Existing Programme Curriculum
2. Recommendation of any New Course (s)/ Programme Curriculum with foreseeable beneficial outcomes
3. Alignment of Programme curriculum with Placement Opportunities
4. Developing Educational Resources, Research Initiatives, Innovative pedagogies.
