St. Francis Institute of Management and Research (PGDM) Borivli, Mumbai was established in the year 2012 with the motto of providing quality professional education to graduate students to equip them with academic excellence in specialized management areas and value system. Value system includes grasp of soft skills, life skills and problem solving skills to face life in good times and bad. Thus, to strive to produce value based business leaders with intellectual competence, morally and ethically upright, socially committed, caring and fostering the ecology, spiritually inspired citizens in the service of India and the world at large.

The task ahead is to carry forward the traditional focus on creating value based excellence amongst participants and transforming them, by encouraging them to initiate and manage self-regulated innovative projects of educational and social values along with faculty members role in understanding and promoting the tremendous technological base which our young generation of students possess. Looking to be successful in one’s own career like becoming an entrepreneur, starting one’s own business or joint venture and getting a good job in a company etc are necessary. In all one should strive to live a life of happiness and contentment and share the same with others.

We also maintain a one-to-one relationship with our students and take care of their personality development at each stage through many interactive sessions on values, ethics, business etiquette, counselling and leadership.

On campus, the Franciscan values of service and living purposefully, are visible in action. Our faculty, students and staff are involved in many social outreach activities.

The Eco-System created by our strong SFIMAR-Alumni network enhances substantially the growth and development of our student participants of our Institute. I am indebted to all our educational partners for all your support and involvement in our higher education venture.

St. Francis Institute of Management and Research (SFIMAR) vision is: “To flourish as a seat of learning of international standards for developing an entrepreneurial class of value based industrial leaders empowered with techno-managerial competence to sustain innovation for building global business of the future”. The various programmes and activities that have been offered to the students have been instrumental in nurturing and developing character, inculcating ethical values, work discipline, innovative abilities, developing individual competence to take on the challenges in the Corporate World. Our Management and faculty besides focusing on functional & sectorial specialization, have laid emphasizes on project based and experiential learning to ensure that our students fully develop their potential, enhance their leadership & decision making skills, empowering them with techno-managerial competence to get them to stand out in the corporate world. The Consultancy and robust Research experiences of our faculty members add tremendous value in students to develop their full potential. Every year except for last two years students are given opportunity for a Study Abroad Programme at Ottawa University, Kansas, USA. We conduct regularly ‘Study Tour’ to Thailand, Dubai, Malaysia and Singapore for our students. Through the international exposure programme students are now venturing to take up international responsibilities in Multi-national companies. At SFIMAR the exposure to our students is beyond the academic syllabus, as we focus on holistic development of every student. Through various extracurricular activities, outbound trainings, counselling, mentoring, personality development and soft skill sessions, we get students to identify their strengths, their field of interest, to be effective communicators, develop their analytical & people’s skills, the ability to make smart decisions, inculcate in them entrepreneurial zeal & build their individual competence, which gets them to evolve into industry-ready corporate professionals. During the pandemic Covid-19 the entire mode of teaching learning, examination and results are conducted in online mode. In every aspect everything is being done in the academic and employment fronts for the well being and advancement of students in coordination with our industry partners. We need to face life with courage and determination amidst this difficult and uncertain times. We need to increase our immune system, adapt new ways of living, and adopt new strategies to fight with the virus without panic. The invisible enemy Covid virus with variants continue to play havoc in every part of our country. We need to care for our family, loved ones, above all the humanity at large. The education is vital to the human development and livelihood. Hence, we need to look forward and do everything to secure our future helping our student’s community to take up their own career path. SFIMAR has achieved impressive growth over the last two decades in terms of its various academic and research related initiatives. Our team of teaching professionals, alumni, experts from industry and academia look forward to accompany and mentor our aspiring candidates/students with the motto: Service Through Enterprise.

Our business programs prepare our students to become leaders with the moral depth and intellectual intensity that are necessary to meet the challenges of the Business world.

Since its inception in the year 2002, SFIMAR has grown as an institution with a high degree of commitment to academic excellence, with a dynamic student group, extremely committed faculty team, and a devoted staff where all the stakeholders exhibit delight and support to one another.

Due to its strong reputation SFIMAR attracts top quality faculty and students from across India. we recognize that effective management education and research can only be achieved through both academic and professional engagement with our stakeholders and that academic and professional engagement must intersect in meaningful ways in the delivery of our programs and in carrying out our research.

The industry relevant syllabi and progressive project-based learning pedagogy not only instil a passion for knowledge among the student participants but also guarantees to induce in them how to apply the acquired knowledge in real situations. We teach students to think deeply, broadly, creatively, analytically and to seek out new ideas every day and to become lifelong learners.

To equip students with the best possible opportunities, our faculty involve themselves in research and consultancy continuously. We are keen to generate ideas that have impact in the workplace and believe that students learn best through interactive debate so the opportunity to question current thinking is positively encouraged.

The academic actions are complemented by a plethora of opportunities to participate in a variety of co-curricular, extra-curricular and specialized activities, both in-house and outbound. SFIMAR also emphasis on holistic development in the personality of the students and indoctrinates creativity, leadership, integrity, ethics and Global outlook among the student participants.
